Life & Executive Coaching

Rachel Phillips, Kochou, Cardiff

Fun, Creative and Mind Opening.

After a creative marketing coaching session with Pen I went away full of ideas and inspiration on how best to get out there and make things happen. Not only did she concentrate on the traditional aspects of my goals but also worked on personal issues I have with driving Kochou forward.

I never considered that coaching would be something for me but after my recent session it is something that I am keen to embrace and use again.

Pen has fabulous coaching skills and tackles her projects in an innovative, professional and creative way. I'd recommend her services to anyone seeking direction and looking for a fun way to come up with ideas.

Denis Bryan, Newport

Penelope made us sit down and look at what we were trying to do. We soon realised the three of us business partners all had completely different views of the business, so she cunningly came up with a Business Purpose that steered a line between us all, and to which we could all hold. Then she made us redefine our functions and processes in line with the purpose - and it all started to get much easier after that. She's a hard task-mistress, but a funny one at least...

Jimmy Cullingford, Cardiff

What was amazing was that from simple exercises, a lot of things in my life have been totally turned around for the good.
As with most things when you reflect on your life story, there are some skeletons in the cupboard. But through these two sessions, I have experienced life changing thoughts and actions. Some which have had an immediate effect on who I am.

Pen is very proficient in leading you through the exercises in a non threatening way, giving you time to realise and learn.

For anyone skeptical or unsure, but feel that there is something in their life which they need help in turning away from, have a chat with Pen. You could, like me, have a life changing experience.

I found Penelope an extremely positive coach. She helped me to think clearly about my career and my choices, which has led me in a direction I previously hadn’t been confident enough to go in. This has been my first experience of NLP and I would strongly recommend it.

Polly Nelson, Fwoss, Bridgend

Pen is a brilliant coach - I had no idea what to expect but came away from a recent session with her armed with a ridiculous amount of self knowledge and feeling in control about what I could do (and what I wanted to do).

Her ability to organise a chaotic mess and draw a straightforward path to a conclusion is very impressive (that goes for her project management and general organisational skills, as well as her coaching). She sort of manages to take no prisoners and be non-threatening at the same time!

She's astute, non-judgemental, she really listens to what you're saying (and helps you hear it too) and on top of all that she's fun, honest and a genuinely nice person - someone I am very happy to know.

Penelope has given me a visualisation/metaphor toolkit which enabled me to improve my ability to cope with multiple tasks and inputs; has improved my ability to store and recall information; and has enabled me to view difficult events objectively and apply rational solutions, whereas before I would have responded out of emotion and instinct.

The net result of all of this is that I find myself able to think and plan more clearly; I am far more productive, making effective use of time and being able to prioritise - filtering out the fog and stress created by the everyday chaos of family and working life.

She also cured my fear of heights, which allowed me to enjoy walking the hills with my children far more.

It has been an interesting and empowering journey and something that I apply every hour of every day, providing me with both freedom from irrelevant stress and a clarity that until now had eluded me in my day-to-day life. I will be happy to discuss the service I received from Penelope with anyone.

Chris Horrocks, Birmingham

I was stuck in a board-room struggle, two against one - even though I'd started the business and was doing most of the work. Through Penelope's help, I found the resolution to walk away from this company and start up again on my own. I am eternally grateful for this shift in my thinking.

Dyslexia

Dr Robert Knowles, Head of Sixth Form College, Howells School GDST - Cardiff

As a SENCO at a major independent school, I should like to endorse fully the methods employed by Penelope Else at Freer Mind. I have been fortunate enough to sit in on a number of lessons to observe at first hand the visualisation techniques used by Penelope with a number of our dyslexic students who have benefited greatly from the Seeing Spells Achieving method. The result is that English teaching staff have noticed considerable improvement in their students' reading ability and spelling confidence.

Merida Selby, Cardiff

[regarding the SSA dyslexia method, several weeks on] I was a bit shocked that it’s all stayed in my head; I’ve never been able to see words backward let alone spell them.

Huw Owen, Cardiff
Apart from writing lovely things about how wonderful and warm and fun a person you are, which I know makes you blush anyway....one session with you "cured" my 17 year old daughter - brilliant mathematician though she may be, she couldn't spell for toffee - now she can, all down to you. So now she can write "Dad, please leave me a cheque for forty pounds, and if you aren't in possession of a writing instrument, then ready money in any currency will do nicely" - do I thank you or damn you ??!!

Jason Stanford, Cheltenham

I'm one of those 3-D thinkers, and I never realised I was different. I always assumed everyone saw things the same way. Penelope helped me to stop the letters moving around, amazingly quickly, too, which made a huge difference. Not nearly as tiring. Now when I see a word I don't know, I know how to break it down and see it properly, and put it into my memory. Ask me if I can spell 'engineering' backwards - I can! Can you?

Change Your Life Workbook

Hannah Worton, Bristol

Hoo, you weren't joking, were you? "Not for the faint-hearted." The steps were so easy, and then BOOM, I was face to face with my excuses about why I wasn't progressing at work. I'm not going to say what I found, because it's private. But, you know, something weird happened. I hadn't even finished the last page (I knew what would go on there) and I found myself in my bedroom, chucking out half my clothes. I had no idea that was what I was going to do when I walked out of the sitting room. That wardrobe had been stuffed full of clothes I hadn't worn in years. Now it's almost empty. And I know what I have to do next. Weird stuff, Pen, weird.

Stephen Macklin, London

Thank you for the workbook, it has shown me what I need to work on first. I hadn't realised how much this one thing was affecting everything else until your system laid it out so clearly. I will probably call you to help me work through it.

That was not comfortable at all. But somehow I feel more relaxed than I ever have. How can that be? Maybe it's the feeling of control over my life that I have now. I was just in a tumbledryer before. Get your workshop up and running - I'm looking forward to taking this further!

David Marshall, Glasgow

I don't know what to say, really, except it all now makes sense, all the cr*p I've been going through the last few years. I can't believe I let it go on so long. Your workbook was beautifully structured, a really interesting process. Thanks again.
