Look Happier and Younger in 60 secs!

If you've been unhappy for a while now, you'll know what I mean when I ask "Has your face become someone else's, someone you don't recognise?" Perhaps if you had to smile at someone, your face would crack - and that's if you could get it to move at all!

I found a simple and free answer to this that costs absolutely nothing and can make you look years younger and happier in under a minute (if you work hard!).

The method

Here it is: find yourself somewhere private (because you're going to look ridiculous doing this!), and contract your cheek muscles in an exaggerated smile - no teeth showing, just the apples of your cheeks contracted strongly.

And the operative word here is STRONGLY! If your cheek muscles aren't hurting, then you aren't working hard enough. It's a combination of repeated 'smiles', and contracting your cheek muscles as hard as they will go, until they downright hurt!

Do that for one solid minute (or until your cheeks hurt so much you can't bear it - do you remember the last time you laughed that hard?!).

Then, to finish off, stretch your mouth a few times in an exaggerated "EEEOOOWWW' movement, to get as much of your face moving as possible. Open your mouth as wide as it will go to do this.

That last exercise will help you a great deal for those terrible moments where someone smiles at you or makes a friendly comment.......but your face has solidified, and by the time you've got your face moving, the moment (and the opportunity!) has long gone....

Why does this work?

Because when your cheek muscles are slightly contracted all the time, as they are when you're in the habit of laughing, it pulls your whole face up. Plump cheek muscles are the sign of a happy person - and, what's more, people respond better to happy people, thus creating the start of a virtuous circle!

The proof is in the mirror

So: your cheek muscles now ache and you've give your mouth a good stretch. Feel how your cheeks are staying slightly in that contracted position, and perhaps you even have a slight smile on your lips. Now look in the mirror....

If you like what you see, do this exercise as many times in the day as you remember, and always go for the BURN!

Yes, this exercise is daft, but really it's only what you'd be doing naturally if you were wildly happy! And liking what you see in the mirror a bit more has to be worth being a bit daft, hasn't it?
